After a good long think and a good while planning; I got myself my food health & safety qualifications and insurance, along with all the other necessary bits and pieces and put my mind to it. Now here I am! I decided to open up my very own business The Sweet Pantry. We've now been open since late 2019; we have since expanded our business and welcomed 'Sweet Makes'. I've always wanted a business that has a family vibe atmosphere, that's what's most important to me, to stay an honest & humble business, that genuinely care's about it's customers and their wants, along with our local community.
When it comes to my business, I try to run and look at my business from the point of view; we all need to work & earn money, however if you're going to be spending most of your time & effort doing something, you'd ideally want to do it well and the best you can. Do it with passion and fun. To enjoy your day, or least the majority of it! Look after and help those around you. Brighten their day, as they do yours. I believe in not only looking after those close to you, but those who are around you. Local businesses, suppliers, farms & plantations.
Our neighbours and our wider communities. I want to help support other small businesses, so if and where I can, I shop from other local businesses, my way of helping my community, one chocolatey treat at a time.
We've all be in that situation, where our child comes to us (with those big beautiful eyes) asking for a big birthday party with all their friends invited, it can be a costly thing a kids party! All those party bags to buy soon add up, but you want to make them as happy as you can, believe me I've been there; so one of my reasons for opening up this business, was to make sure to do my best when it comes to helping out the hard working mums & dads and grandparents. Keeping things fair, and very reasonably priced.
I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them!
As a stay at home mum, I spend the majority of my day cooking up the endless requests from my 3 children, my partner, friends & family. However odd it may sound, I absolutely love every single moment of it! I enjoy my kitchen being the hub of the family home, filled with scrumptious smells, and making things for everyone to enjoy. I love being able to know exactly what is in my food & how it was made.
Before opening The Sweet Pantry I was solely a stay at home mum, who's pride was and still is, raising my 3 young children. As we know, as children get older they need and want their own space. I was feeling it was time to find myself, and what I wanted to build myself for the future - naturally working around them. My youngest child has additional needs, and still needs his mum regularly throughout the day. So I wanted to create something that works around both things I love in life, my family & baking.
